ROYAL ARABIAN SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTED ITS INAUGURAL UAE-INDIA ROADSHOW

Spanning 03 Cities ( Lucknow , Nagpur and Vadodara ) , The events saw the participation by prominent, travel agents, holiday planners, wedding planners , event organizers and media members in all the 3 cities. The aim of the roadshow was to showcase new products, attractive summer deals and the latest offering from Royal Arabian & it’s partners , in order to attract the Indian travelers to Dubai. The roadshow received an overwhelming response; nearly 300 agents across India attended this high networking event.

ABU DHABI WORLD PROFESSIONAL JIU-JITSU CHAMPIONSHIPS

Martial arts stars from across the globe will be kicking off their bid for glory at the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championships. More than 7,000 fierce competitors representing 100 countries will be fighting it out at the ninth annual sporting extravaganza.

UAE VISA ON ARRIVAL FOR INDIANS WITH US VISA, GREEN CARD

Indian passport holders with a valid American visa or a Green Card will now be eligible to obtain a UAE visa on arrival, as per the decree approved by the UAE Cabinet.
The visa will be valid for 14 days, with a single extension possible for a fee.
The decision to have a simplified visa process is aimed at advancing the UAE-India relations in economic, politics, and trade. It also contributes to achieving UAE’s vision to be the leading country in attracting global tourism.

 

OTTO THE HIPPO IS NEW GUEST AT EMIRATES PARK ZOO IN ABU DHBAI

Emirates Park Zoo in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday announced the opening of the Hippo House, home to a five-year-old hippopotamus named Otto.
Otto, who weighs more than two tonnes, spends more than 10 hours a day submerged in his pool to keep his massive body cool under the hot Arabian sun. His other pursuits are swimming, playing with his ball and feasting on fruits, vegetables and grass.

 

DUBAI’S NEWEST LANDMARK SHINES IN GOLD

Dubai: Have you seen the latest development with the Dubai Frame?
Motorists driving along Shaikh Zayed Road may have noticed that the city’s newest landmark was recently covered in in gold cladding. The Frame, estimated to cost Dh160 million, is located near Star Gate in Zabeel Park, and consists of two towers that are 150 metres high and 93 metres wide, connected by a 100 square metre bridge.

 

CHINESE TOURISTS TO SHARJAH EXCEED 86,000 IN 2016

More than 86,000 Chinese tourists visited Sharjah and booked in its hotels during 2016 with an increase of 63 per cent compared to 2015 with 53,000 tourists, Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) said.
Khalid Jasem Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, stressed the keenness of the authority to benefit from the Chinese market potential in order to achieve sustainable development over the course of the coming years.
