Al Ain, a charming desert oasis, known as the Garden City of   the Emirates. . In the past, this green city was a stop on the caravan trail at the foot of the magnificent Hajar Mountains.  Al Ain boasts the United Arab Emirates University. Our tour takes us to the great archaeological Hili Garden which dates back over 5000 years, then to the  Palace Museum where Sheikh Zayed lived his childhood. Afternoon we drive over the border into Buraimi - an enclave of Oman. With its crumbling stone walls set among palm trees, we have an opportunity to see an excellent example of “falaj” – the ancient irrigation system. We stop for lunch at The Buraimi Hotel passing by the famous Oasis. On the way back to Dubai we visit the Camel Market where it is possible to choose and buy one at a bargain!
