Dubai Frame is an iconic structure that ‘frames’ impressive views of old and new Dubai, while serving as a symbolic bridge connecting the emirate’s iconic past with its splendid present. I visited Dubai Frame in the evening during the golden hour. A time when the beautiful city of Dubai looked even more lit and energetic, as the evening sun was smiling on it. This beautiful landmark is in Zabeel Park.

Dubai Frame is 150 meters tall, 93 meters wide is a bridge connecting two towers. The icon resembles a picture frame. As we made our entry, we were welcomed by a guide who briefed us that the visit is going to be a journey into the past, present, and future of Dubai.

Beginning with the past, the story of the city’s past is told using the latest technology. A combination of holographic effects and animations are used, accompanied by aromatic scents and traditional music.
Next is the present, as you step into the sky-deck. This deck is a test to know if you are acrophobic or not. If you are brave enough you can step into the 50-meter-long opaque glass bridge. Crafted from liquid crystal with an underlying film triggered by sensors, the floor becomes clear only when you walk on it.  You can look right down at the ground and feel as if you are walking on air.  Once on top of the frame, the north side has glimpses of old, historic Dubai. And the south has breath-taking skylines of modern Dubai. You can also draw shapes on outstanding hierarchical interactive screens.
In the end, comes the future zone, a time tunnel showing you what Dubai will look like in the next 50 years. Flying taxis, underwater living, missions to space, drone delivery, displaying everything that the future can hold.

Buying tickets online eliminates the hassle of standing in long queues and unending wait. Dubai Frame tells the story of Dubai’s transformation from a humble fishing village to a glittering modern metropolis. It is an experience on its own.
