Kidzania
Learning is fun here at Kidzania, Dubai, an interactive city run by kids where children may engage in role-play activities that simulate real life. Children can play, work, and even take on responsibilities in this 7000 sq.m. real city-scaled replica. It truly is a great way to prepare them for the “actual” world. It aims at building life skills besides creating awareness about the different professionals, time management, finances and the like. Fun and adventure here know no bounds with a host of interesting activities to choose from overseen by the Zupervisors (town supervisors).
The 40 real-life role-play activities help kids understand the needs of society and nurture their growth on a personal and interpersonal level. A sign in every activity room explains the duration and number of participants for that activity. Some of them even include the age group best suited for the activity as well as the Kidzos (Kidzania currency) they may earn or otherwise must pay. The children also have the option of then spending these Kidzos either splurging in a shopping spree or having a relaxing spa day.
Kidzania Acting Academy introduces children to the various kinds of puppets while building in them the confidence to entice an audience at the theatre for talent shows.
Kids discover historic gems and learn more about the important elements throughout history at Kidzania Natural Archives and Jewellery Shop. It aims at instilling the love for history. The Jewellery Shop channels their creative talents into making ornaments.
Children can dance their hearts out at the Flik Flak City Clock while they have the opportunity to take part in various shows to showcase their talents at the Metropolitan Theatre.
No dream is too far-fetched. For the little ones who want to be spies when they grow-up, Kidzania offers VR Secret Agent Training. The aspiring secret agents are tasked with retrieving an important file that had been robbed from headquarters.
Tiny tots can even be taught to fly in the state-of-the-art Flight Simulator based on a real Dubai aircraft and work as pilots or co-pilots. If they choose to be passengers, they have safety procedures explained to them and are given food very much like “real” passengers of an aircraft.
