Also known for theatrical masterpieces like Cirque du Soleil, La Perle Dubai is the innovation of producer and revered creative director Franco Dragone. A true visual masterpiece of immersive artistic performances, imagery, and technology it was brought to Dubai by the Al Habtoor group. La Perle tells the story of Dubai, respecting its traditional past and describing the skyscrapers, dessert safaris and futuristic outlook of Dubai today. It is the first-of-its-kind resident show in the MENA region.
The extravagant exhilarating performances include incredibly talented acrobats, dancers, and motorbike stunt riders. The show smartly includes elements of the Middle East like spinning Turkish dervishes, lit against a dark backdrop. The Chinese Lion Dance features fantastic jumps. 25-metre dives into a pool in the middle of the stage, astounding projections, synchronized acrobatics are a part of the vignette’s series included as part of the show. Giant golden puppets, mesmerizing light shows and one-of-a-kind water stage the performances are sure to never be forgotten.
The show features a unique aqua theatre which means the stage can transform from its wet to dry setting almost instantly. The focal point of La Perle Dubai is the pool in the centre of the auditorium stage along with tumbling waterfalls. Another astounding feature of the theater itself is the fact that every part of it becomes a screen, from the seats to walls, floors, everything including the building dome. The atmosphere can change in a matter of seconds from a wondrous rainforest to an ostentatious throne room because of these elements. The seating area is a panoramic 270-degree expanse to reiterate the immersive experience.
There are however a few rules and regulations that must be followed like how children under 2 are not allowed, tickets need to be produced at the counter as proof that they were purchased, individuals arriving late will only be permitted inside during a suitable break and will be given different seats to avoid disturbing everyone else.
